where do you go after you die?

  • you might become a ghost and haunt people. you could visit your family and let them know you're OK. you could fly, and stay up all night, and get into theme parks and cinemas for free. (how cool is that?)
  • you might be reincarnated and get born again someone - or something - else. i want to be a human, again.
  • you might go to Heaven.
  • you might go to Hell.
  • you might go to Purgatory, which is where you get sent if you aren't good enough for Heaven or bad enough for Hell. you float around in Purgatory for years and years and years until you're good enough to get into Heaven.
  • you might sort of become part of everything and drift around being a cloud, or a tree or the grass on netball field!
  • it might just be like falling asleep.
  • it might be mixture of these. or some people might do one thing and some people would do another.
  • it might be something else entirely. nobody knows.

five ways to live forever

.
1. say every morning : "i will say this again tomorrow. "
2. become a vampire. hope you don't meet Buffy.
3. have your body frozen. then, in hundreds of years, when they've found a cure for cancer and the secret to eternal life, they'll unfreeze you. ( with any luck, you'll get to meet robots & aliens and have your own private space shuttle too.)
4. find the fountain of eternal happiness. have a drink.
5. copy your brain on to a disk and live on a computer. hope you don't get a virus.

i found this from a book i've read. not that i want to live forever, i wouldn't wish for that. it's just something to ponder on. =) have a nice day!

golden rules for LIVING

.
if you open it, close it.
if you turn it on, turn it off.
if you unlock it, lock it up.
if you break it, admit it.
if you can't fix it, call in someone who can.
if you borrow it, return it.
if you value it, take care of it.
if you make a mess, clean it up.
if you move it, put it back.
if it belongs to someone else and you want to use it, get permission.
if you don't know how to operate it, leave it alone.
if it's none of your business, don't ask questions.
if it isn't broke, don't fix it.
if it will brighten someone's day, say it.
if it will tarnish someone's reputation, keep it to yourself.

choices

.
the journey of a 100 miles begins with ONE step...
sometimes you have to step outside of the person you've been
and remember the person you were meant to be...
...the person you wanted to be...
...the person you are...
you can only protect your liberties in this world by protecting the other man's freedom.
you can only be free if i am free.
in this life we cannot do great things,
we can only do small things with great love.
it is our choices that show what we are...
far more than our abilities!

SELAH

what are some of the new experiences that i encountered today?

what are the walls surrounding me? what can i do about it?

what is the social issue that struck me most today?

am i connected to their realities? how?

have i build any bridge today?

am i willing to continue building bridges and share in the pain of others?

what will i choose to do next?

some thoughts of the day

.
" Grace is like the wind, those who open the sail only will move forward. " - on taking that one step forward and start making a difference.

" How many of you would invite someone you don't know to your house and let him sleep with you? " - on the exposure programme.

" For them the question is 'will we eat today?' , but for us, the question is 'what will we eat today?' " - on unfortunate people living in poverty.

this is not the end. this is the beginning.

national lasallian leaders convention 2008

WOW.
lets c wat i can say about this camp.
ac, i don't really have a good impression on this camp. although my schoolmate did tell me dat this camp is really different from others, as he enjoyed did camp very much the last time he went, and said dat i shud go for it,...etc... but i still think dat this camp CANT be any different from others. i mean, all camps are practically d same. u attend sessions, face boring facilitators, make new friends...say goodbye and fullstop. u carry on with ur normal life n lost contact with new friends u've made at the camp.
so i started my journey on a very hot and sunny day on tuesday.
the five of us, aron z, dj, derrick, ilene and i were spose to gather at the taiping bus station for the 11am bus.
at 10.45, when i'm on my way there(as it take only 5 minutes to reach d tpg bus station), i received a call from ilene, telling me to go to the kamunting bus station instead, as someone has got the wrong information.
i was like, what the hell??? how m i spose to get there in 10minutes?? it'll take at least 15minutes to reach there without traffic jam. anyway, my mum speed like crazy n finally manage to reach there at 11.10am. but it was too late. we missed the bus.

then there's dis taxi driver there that could take us back to da tpg bus station to get the earliest bus to kuala kangsar, and then take another bus to ipoh.
so we went all the way back to tpg bus station n boarded the red n yellow omnibus at 12.00. great. i told myself. wat a great start for this convention.
my mood was down throughout the whole journey to ipoh.
first, the bus had to drop passengers every now n then. so it had actually slowed down our journey. then, v got another bus at the k.kangsar bus station at 1.00. i was hoping dat it cud get us to la salle centre asap, but again, it has to stop here n there n we ended up reaching la salle centre at 2.45.
i was soo relieved to have finally reached the centre. n then, 2 OTs greeted us, n the first thing they told us were, "u guys are the nearest school, but the last to reach." n i go ... omg. really???
cuz i thought registration's at 2.00, but i was wrong. the whole thing had officially started at 2.00.
i felt so bad. we didnt mean to arrive late. how i wished to have arrived in time to attend the whole ice breaking session as it wud be so AWESOME! ya know..
anyway, we quickly dumped our luggages into da room, n proceeded to the conference hall.

we could hear someone giving a speech followed by lots of people cheering and clapping in the hall. we didn't dare to go in at first cuz we were soooo late! we were afraid to interrupt as well.
anyway, the OTs saw us and asked us to go in. well, its now or never. lol.
so we courageously put our feet into the conference hall....and.....
i see everyone's smiling faces and they started 2 cheer and clap for us!
everyone's so friendly here! i felt so glad n happy to be there.
then we had to get ourselves into groups.
my fren got washing machine, kettle...
n i have to do the sound of a PRINTER!
how m i gona do that??
i was the last to go up there n do my stuff.
everyone laughed n clapped.
some thought i was beatboxing. lol.
but my group can recognize the sound n cheered n clapped for me. yay! i have a group! haha.
we had lots of games, the whole ice breaking session was great. then, there's this sketch called shota-shota, played by the OTs... u guys were great man..! really. i had a lot of fun watching the sketch. LMAO.
ok..that was only on the first day of convention. there're so many more to write, but to cut things short, i really enjoyed, had a lot of fun, met a lot of nice and friendly people, and made a lot of new friends. i've learnt a lot, self realization especially. and i am a changed person. i've a wider aspect in seeing things and i have no regrets attending dis AWESOME convention!
miss everyone.

BREAK WALLS, BUILD BRIDGES! =)
